El miedo tiene género: representaciones y prácticas sociales sobre el miedo al delito en España

Resumen
En este artículo se lleva a cabo un análisis de las entrevistas realizadas durante el trabajo de campo de una investigación más amplia sobre los discursos relacionados con la seguridad entre hombres y mujeres. La investigación empírica sobre el miedo al delito no ha tenido un gran desarrollo en el contexto español en comparación con países anglosajones. El desarrollo de trabajos cualitativos en ese contexto supuso un gran avance en la comprensión y explicación de un objeto de estudio no carente de inconsistencias teóricas y metodológicas. Los resultados del análisis sociológico de los discursos desarrollado en este artículo respaldan las perspectivas basadas en la socialización y las relaciones de poder desiguales entre mujeres y hombres, a partir de la intersección de contextos y posiciones sociales diferenciados. Factores situacionales y posiciones sociales afectan a la forma en que se construyen y proyectan esos miedos.
