Percepciones de los jóvenes infractores sobre la justicia de menores

Resumen

En este trabajo se presentan los resultados de una investigación que ha evaluado las percepciones de 131 jóvenes infractores sobre su experiencia judicial. En concreto se han analizado sus percepciones de justicia procedimental y de competencia legal. Al mismo tiempo, se han analizado también sus opiniones en relación con la interacción con su letrado, que es uno de los agentes con los que más debe tratar el joven infractor y el principal responsable de incrementar su competencia legal. Los resultados han puesto de manifiesto que los jóvenes no están plenamente satisfechos con la experiencia. Además, se ha comprobado que la satisfacción depende en gran medida de sus percepciones de justicia procedimental y de competencia legal. Por otra parte, se ha comprobado la importancia del contacto previo con el abogado para que la interacción sea de más calidad y mejoren las percepciones de los chicos. Aun así, estas percepciones concretas sobre este profesional no condicionan la valoración global de la experiencia judicial.
